Beyond Frames tells the story of photographer Jon Aspuru and his lifelong journey with pro-surfer Natxo González. The film takes the viewer back to the early 2000s, to the tranquil village of Bakio on the north coast of the Basque Country. It is the connection with nature and the dream of imitating the great surf videographers of the time that make Jon start filming in his early childhood days. Meeting Natxo González begins a journey for Jon on which he not only gradually gets closer to his dream, but also the beginning of a special friendship. Beyond Frames tells of big dreams and the longing for home.
